Your phone can't auto-hold the screen on. Do it manually:
iPhone: Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto-Lock → Never
Android: Settings → Display → Screen timeout → 30 minutes (or max)
ⓘ READ FIRST — one-time phone setup (tap to open/close)
iPhone:
Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services — switch ON (top of the page).
In that same list scroll to Safari Websites → set to "While Using the App" and switch Precise Location ON. (Using Chrome instead? Do the same under Chrome.)
Come back here and press START. When Safari asks "Allow location access?" tap Allow.
During the race: keep this page open and the screen ON. Do not press the side button, do not switch apps — a locked phone stops recording. Plug into a battery pack, turn brightness down, and put the phone somewhere dry with a view of the sky.
Android:
Open Settings → Location — switch ON.
Press START below. When Chrome asks to use your location, tap Allow (choose Precise if asked).
During the race: keep this page open and the screen ON. Do not lock the phone, do not switch apps — recording stops. Plug into a battery pack, brightness down, phone somewhere dry with sky view.
Check before the start: the GPS box below must show GOOD (about ±3–10 m). If it shows hundreds of meters, you're indoors or location is set wrong.
